How long does ceramic coating last?
A properly applied coating lasts two to five years depending on the product and how the car is stored and washed. Claims of ten years are marketing; no consumer coating survives Indian sun and dust that long.
Is ceramic coating worth the money?
It makes washing far easier and protects against UV fading and light chemical etching. It does not prevent scratches or dents. If the car lives outdoors, the UV protection alone usually justifies it.
How often should a car be washed?
Every one to two weeks in normal use. More often if it is parked under trees or near construction — bird droppings and cement dust are both alkaline and will etch clear coat within days in the heat.
